Meet MaxBot
An AI team that works out of the box and answers the phone. Nothing to install, no AI subscriptions to connect. Your teammates run on our servers, from $15 a month.
No keys, no model picker, nothing to install. Max is already there.
Max hires the teammate for the job from one sentence. Change anything later by just telling them.
Any teammate can answer the line, book the job and leave you the summary.
Teammates, not tools.
Each teammate has a name, a job, a memory and one conversation that never ends. They ask before they act, keep your keys in a vault, and talk to each other when the work needs it.

Memory that lasts
Give any teammate a phone number.
Sam picks up in a natural voice, books the job and leaves you the summary and the recording. Callers can interrupt any time, and Sam never pretends to be human.
- A new local number, or forward your own line. Voice only, from the first payment.
- Two-way voice in the app too. Hold to talk to any teammate; they talk back.
- Every call transcribed and summarized into the teammate's thread, with the recording.
- Listen in live, or take over. Your team can call its own teammates, too.
- Calls only, never texts. Callbacks go only to people who called today and asked.
Sign in once, from a card in the chat.
Only the teammate that asked gets access, and only to what it asked for. Cut it off from the vault any time.
On the web today. On your desk next.
The web app is the product. The Mac and Windows apps add the one thing a browser can't do: hands on your computer. Phone companions come after.
Short answers.
The things people ask before they try it. Price, setup, the phone, and where the data lives.
Ask us something elseDo I need my own AI subscription or an API key?
No. MaxBot's AI is included in every plan and runs on our servers. There is nothing to bring, nothing to connect and nothing to install. Sign in and Max is already there.
What's an action?
One unit of work by a teammate: a reply, a tool call, a routine run. Heavier work counts for more, and the weight is shown on every row of the Activity list, so there are no surprises. When a plan runs out, teammates pause and ask, rather than bill you.
Can a teammate text my customers?
No. Teammates make and take phone calls, and that's on purpose. Numbers are voice only. Callbacks only go to people who called that day and asked for one, and every call says up front that it's an AI assistant.
Which AI model is it?
A fast model we host in the United States, chosen by our own tests and swapped when something better comes along. You never pick a model or manage a key, and your conversations are never used to train anything.
Where does my data go?
To our servers in the United States, encrypted, with the database unreachable from the internet. Keys and logins live in a vault scoped to one teammate and one site, and are never shown to the AI. Our privacy policy lists every company that touches your data.
What happens when a teammate isn't sure?
It asks, with a card in the chat that does the one thing needed. Three kinds of action always ask, with no switch: money leaving an account, the first message or call to someone new, and deleting anything. Everything else can become "Always allow", listed and removable.
Can teammates work on my computer?
With the Mac app, coming soon. Teammates work inside your own apps while you watch, with a rim around the screen and a stop key. They ask before every task and never type a password. The web app does everything else today.
Is there a trial?
Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, and if you ask for a refund within 30 days of your first payment, you get it. Phone numbers are issued after the first payment.
Can my team use it too?
Yes. The Max plan is for up to three people, with a shared vault, an audit log and pooled actions. Invite someone from Settings and they see the same teammates.
Meet your first teammate.
Tell Max what you need. Thirty seconds later there's someone to hand it to.
One AI team. Three sizes.
Every plan includes our AI, voice chat with every teammate, the vault, routines and skills. You pay for the work your team does, in actions.

About the bill.
What an action is, what happens at the limit, and how the phone number works.
Ask us something elseWhat counts as an action?
One unit of work by a teammate: a reply, a tool call, a routine run. Heavier work counts for more, and the weight shows on every row of the Activity list. Voice chat and phone calls are metered in minutes instead.
What happens when I run out?
Teammates pause and tell you. Phone lines keep answering until the call minutes run out. You can add a block of actions or minutes, or turn overage on at the prices above, and it's off by default.
Do I need my own AI subscription?
No. Our AI is included in every plan and hosted on our servers. There's nothing to bring.
How does the phone number work?
Pick a local number in the chat, or forward your existing line to it. Numbers are voice only and are issued after your first payment. One number belongs to one teammate.
Refunds?
Ask within 30 days of your first payment and you get it back in full, for any reason. Email [email protected].
What shipped.
Every release of MaxBot, newest first. Versions before 1.0 are the road to the web launch.
Chat with Max in the browser
The first thing you can actually talk to.
- Sign in and workspaces at app.maxbot.bot, with passkeys.
- Chat with Max, streamed live, that reconnects and resumes if your connection drops.
- The teammate list and the first cards, rendered from one shared grammar so every surface draws them the same way.
- A layout that works on a phone.
Web version provisioned
The servers that run the web app are up, and the site you're reading is live.
- app.maxbot.bot provisioned on our own servers in the United States, behind Cloudflare, with the database on a private network and never reachable from the internet.
- maxbot.bot is live, with the pricing, changelog, privacy policy and terms.
- Phone infrastructure set up for US and Canada calls: our own carrier profile, billing group and SIP connection, with a daily spend cap.
- Web first: the Mac app moves behind the web app so the browser version can be perfected before it goes inside a desktop shell.
Backend ready
The engine behind every teammate, built and tested.
- Model gateway: streaming replies, per-route rate limits, dollar caps per workspace, a usage ledger and a kill switch.
- Turn runner with leased workers, so a crashed worker never loses a turn, plus a Stop button.
- Approvals backed by single-use tokens, so a card can only be acted on once, by the person it was shown to.
- Live updates over one WebSocket per device, resumable from the last sequence number.
- Database schema and migrations, a non-superuser app role, health checks, and 26 tests. Packaged as one Docker image.
The design
Every surface, decided and mocked up before a line of UI code.
- One conversation per teammate, forever. Max as chief of staff; teammates made from one sentence.
- Permission cards: a teammate that needs access asks in the chat with a card that does one thing. Money out, first contact and deletes always ask.
- The vault: keys and logins scoped to one teammate and one site, shown only with a passkey, never to the AI.
- Voice: our own voice agent, interruptions always on, one spoken sentence of disclosure, calls only and never texts.
- The faces. Fuzzy, pastel, each one a different shape.
Project start
A name, a domain and the research.
- maxbot.bot registered.
- Market, model and voice-cost research: what it costs per turn and per call minute, and who else is in the room.
- The decision that defines the product: as easy as the expensive bots, hosted by us, priced on a fast model, with a phone line built in.
Privacy policy
This policy describes how Avo LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as MaxBot ("MaxBot", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects information when you visit maxbot.bot or use the MaxBot application at app.maxbot.bot (together, the "Service").
What we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, passkeys or sign-in provider, workspace name and billing details. Payment card numbers go to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Conversations and work product. What you and your teammates say, the files you share, routines, skills and the summaries teammates write. This is your data; we store it to run the Service for you.
- Vault items. Keys and logins you give a teammate are encrypted with a key that only your workspace holds, scoped to one teammate and one destination, and never shown to the AI. We can't read them.
- Phone calls. When a teammate has a phone number, we process the caller's number, the audio of the call while it's live, a transcript, and a recording if recording is on for that number. Every call begins with a spoken notice that the caller is talking to an AI assistant and that the call is transcribed, and that it is recorded when it is.
- Voice chat. Audio from your microphone when you hold to talk, processed live and kept only as the transcript in the thread.
- Usage. Which actions ran, when, and what they cost, so we can meter your plan and show you the Activity list. Standard server logs with IP addresses, kept for 30 days.
How we use it
- To run the Service: generate replies, run routines, place and answer calls, and keep your teammates' memory.
- To bill you, by plan and by metered actions and minutes.
- To keep the Service safe: abuse detection, rate limits and spend caps.
- To support you when you ask. Support staff see your workspace only with your permission, and every such view is logged.
We never use your conversations, files, calls or vault items to train AI models, and our model providers are contractually barred from doing so. We don't sell personal information and we don't show ads.
Who else touches your data
We use a short list of companies to run the Service. Each one processes only what its job requires.
| Company | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Telnyx | Phone numbers, calls, speech recognition and hosted AI inference, with requests pinned to US regions | United States |
| Cartesia | Text-to-speech for calls and voice chat | United States |
| Anthropic | AI inference when the "US-developed models only" setting is on | United States |
| Stripe | Payments and invoices | United States |
| Cloudflare | DNS, TLS and protection in front of the Service | United States and global edge |
| netcup | The servers the Service runs on | United States (Manassas, Virginia) |
If we add a company to this list we update this page first. Connected accounts you sign into from a card (for example Google or Stripe) are governed by that company's terms for the access you grant.
Where it lives and how it's protected
Your data is stored on our servers in the United States. The database sits on a private network and is never reachable from the internet. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Vault items are encrypted a second time with a per-workspace key held in a managed key service, and showing one requires a fresh passkey assertion from you. Risky approvals (money out, deletions, first contact) also require a fresh passkey assertion, so a stolen session can't approve them.
How long we keep it
- Conversations, files and teammate memory: as long as your account is active, or until you delete them.
- Call recordings: 90 days by default, adjustable per number, or until you delete them.
- Transcripts and summaries: with the conversation they belong to.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after deletion.
- Server logs: 30 days.
When you delete your account, your workspace is removed from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90.
Your choices
- Export everything in your workspace, or delete it, from Settings or by asking us.
- Turn call recording on or off per number. Transcription is needed for a teammate to answer at all.
- Revoke any key or connected account from the vault at any time; every teammate using it is cut off at once.
- Switch on "US-developed models only" if your situation requires it.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale (we don't sell). Residents of other states with privacy laws have similar rights. Write to us and we'll act within the time the law requires.
Callers and other people
When your teammate talks to someone who isn't a MaxBot user, you are responsible for having the right to record and transcribe that conversation. MaxBot speaks a notice at the start of every call to help with that, and in states that require consent to record, the default for new numbers is transcription without recording.
Children
The Service is for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect and note the date at the top of this page.

Terms of service
These terms are a contract between you and Avo LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as MaxBot ("MaxBot", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using maxbot.bot or app.maxbot.bot (the "Service"), you agree to them. If you're using MaxBot for a company, you're agreeing on its behalf and you confirm you can.
1. The Service
MaxBot gives you AI teammates that run on our servers: they chat with you, run routines, connect to tools you authorize, and, when you give one a phone number, make and take calls on your behalf. The AI is ours; you don't bring a model or a key. Features marked "coming soon" or "planned" are not part of the Service until they ship.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what your teammates do with the access and instructions you give them. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised. You must be 18 or older.
3. Plans, billing and refunds
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe. Metered usage (actions, voice-chat minutes and call minutes) is included up to your plan's limits. Overage is off by default and billed at the published rates only if you turn it on.
- When a limit is reached, teammates pause and ask. We will never silently bill you past your plan.
- Prices can change; we'll give you 30 days' notice by email before a change affects you.
- 30-day refund. Ask within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, for any reason. Email [email protected]. After that, and for renewals, refunds are at our discretion.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings. The plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.
4. Phone numbers and calls
- Numbers are provided through our carrier and stay ours; you have the right to use one while your plan includes it. Numbers are voice only. MaxBot does not send or receive text messages, and you may not try to make it.
- Every call a teammate takes or places begins with a spoken notice that it is an AI assistant and that the call is transcribed (and recorded, if recording is on). You may not remove this notice except for a number you attest is for your own personal use.
- Teammates place outbound calls only to your own team or to people who called that day and asked for a callback. No cold calling, no marketing calls, no robocalling. You are responsible for complying with the TCPA, state call-recording laws and any rules that apply to your business.
- Numbers can't reach emergency services. Don't rely on a MaxBot number for 911 or any emergency.
- Our carrier may withdraw or replace a number in rare cases outside our control; we'll give you as much notice as we get.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, impersonate a person or business, collect personal data you have no right to, or attack any system. Don't try to extract our models or prompts, reverse engineer the Service, or resell it without an agreement. We may suspend a workspace that's being used this way, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
6. Your data and ours
Everything you put into MaxBot, and everything your teammates produce for you, is yours. You give us the license we need to store it, process it and show it back to you, and nothing more. We never train models on it. The Service itself, including the faces, the interface and our software, is ours. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and who else touches it.
7. AI output
Teammates are software. They can be wrong, and they act on the instructions and access you give them. Review what matters before you rely on it, especially money, legal and medical matters. Approval cards exist so that risky actions wait for you; "Always allow" is your choice and your responsibility.
8. Connected accounts and the vault
When you connect an account or add a key, you confirm you're allowed to. Vault items are scoped to one teammate and one destination and are never shown to the AI. We can't read them and we can't recover them; if you lose your passkeys, the vault is reset.
9. Availability
We aim for the Service to be up all the time and we publish what we ship on the changelog. We don't promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or retire features with reasonable notice.
10. Warranty and liability
The Service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. Some places don't allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as the law allows.
11. Indemnity
If your use of the Service, including calls your teammates make on your instructions, leads to a claim against us, you'll defend and cover us for it.
12. Ending things
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll refund any prepaid, unused period unless the breach was serious. After closure, your data is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy, and you can export it first.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute we can't resolve by talking goes to binding arbitration in Oakland, California, under the AAA Commercial Rules, except that either of us can bring an individual claim in small-claims court or seek an injunction for intellectual-property claims in any court that has jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.
15. Contact
